Transferability:
Transferability refers to using a course from one college to count as a course (either as a requirement or as an elective) at a different college/university. When making the decision to take a college class, a student should check the transferability to all interested institutions and then make the decision of whether to pay for the college credit option for a dual credit class, or whether to enroll in a dual enrollment class where tuition payment is required. A student should check transferability websites, and should confirm via email with the admissions department of the next institution(s) so that it is clear and in writing. Several websites will help guide you:
NOTE: ***BEFORE YOU GRADUATE from FHS -- BE SURE that you TRANSFER ALL of your college coursework to your NEXT COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY! An FHS transcript is not enough! Also, you MUST do this process every time you change colleges/universities because you can only officially transfer a course from the original institution.
