College credit during high school, two types: (EACH has a separate enrollment/application process at a different time during the semester, and students wishing to take more than 18 credit hours TOTAL in a semester must have prior "overload" approval from MAC's Academic Dean, which is not automatic and is based on prior course-load and MAC GPA; see Ms. Andrea Richardson)
- Dual Credit: college courses taught AT FHS during hours 1-7 by an FHS employee who is certified to teach college courses; grades are in SIS (so they show on your FHS report cards) and also in the college system simultaneously. Enroll at the START of the semester -- via a NEW process starting FA16. See "DUAL CREDIT" section under "APPLYING/PAYING" and the handout found under the "Mission Statement" section under "Announcements" FHS provides textbooks for dual CREDIT classes.
- Dual Enrollment: college courses taught online or at a college campus, including those at the MAC Farmington Outreach Center here at FHS Monday through Thursday, 4p-7p, taught by college employees; grades are only in the college computer system until they are transferred in to the FHS system by bringing a copy of the grade (online transcript) to your FHS counselor. Enroll in the middle of the semester PRIOR to the class start date. See "DUAL ENROLLMENT" section under "APPLYING/PAYING/FORMS."
