- If a student is awarded this scholarship, the scholarship covers 2/3 of the tuition for up to a lifetime max of 42 credit hours, with covered courses limited to the 42 hour General Education Block or AAS degree (student must pay all additional fees, & for textbooks for MAC dual enrollment classes only); students will NO LONGER reapply yearly because it will be automatically renewed IF making adequate academic progress based on course completion, FHS attendance/discipline, and college GPA), and WILL NOW BE available to start for the SOPHOMORE year (must apply during 9th grade year by the deadline above).

- Requirements to apply: qualifying ACT Composite Score Minimum of 21 is required to be on file PRIOR to the February deadline (so the December ACT should be the "last chance" ACT test). Application is available on the link below -- read every word and follow all directions; incomplete applications will be rejected. MAC considers ACT scores, GPA, attendance, and discipline. Open to 10th/11th/12th grade years - so apply during 9th/10th/11th. Only need to be accepted once -- automatic renewal provided adequate academic progress (and FHS attendance/discipline). If awarded for 10th grade year (defined as fall and spring semesters), the scholarship will only cover a maximum of 12 credit hours toward the 42 hour block. Summer after the school year is designated as the start of the next grade level, and the 10th grade restriction is lifted.

- 12-18-17 UPDATE: The following scholarship is available, but no guarantee of award amount (could be zero, or up to 3 credit hours of tuition depending on availablity of funds): ADDITIONAL POSSIBLE SCHOLARSHIP for Free/Reduced Lunch Students which is a "bonus" scholarship as funds are available (covers up to 3 credit hours per semester (up to $267 for '17-'18), application required to be submitted WITH your dual credit application; may be used to cover up to 1 three credit hour class per semester OR may be used in conjunction with the 42 Hr Gen Ed Block Scholarship to cover a part of the student's portion of 3 classes). A minimum ACT Composite score of 21 is required (update: average of 60 for ACCUPLACER Sentence Skills, Reading, and Elementary Math, will also qualify for this Free/Reduced Lunch scholarship only)
